Agistment

Zia Park Equestrian Centre in Gidgegannup offers a variety of options to horse owners wishing to agist their horses in the Perth Hills.

All horse agistment options include the use of the extensive facilities available at Zia Park Equestrian Centre, rugging and feeding (unless otherwise specified).

All yards and paddocks have electric fencing and horses are checked at least once every day. Yards, paddocks and stables are well maintained and cleaned regularly.

The following agistment options are available, however special arrangements can be made:

Paddock Agistment ($80 per week)

Paddocks are shared (no more than six horses). Geldings and mares are separated and hay is fed depending on time of year and amount of feed on the ground. This option does not include rugging or separating horses for individual feeding, however holding yards are available if owners wish to bring their horses in for hand feeding. A shared tackroom is also available.

Special Paddock Agistment ($110 per week)

This option is designed to cater for older horses who do not cope well in a paddock situation without extra care.  Paddocks are shared (no more than six horses). Geldings and mares are separated and horses receive hard feeds and hay daily.  Zia Park staff  rug and unrug horses as appropriate for the weather.  Owners supply their own rugs.

Private Yard Agistment (from $100 per week)

Private Yard agistment includes a shelter with feed bin and hay rack and a lockable tack and feed room. Horses are fed and rugged twice daily. Yards are cleaned daily. Horse owners can choose a part board ($100) or full board ($160) agistment option. Yards are large (approx ¼ acre) with shade trees and no common fences.
