Horse & Pony Agistment
Zia Park offers a variety of options to horse owners wishing to agist their horses.
All our horse agistment options include the use of the extensive facilities available at the centre, including a Dressage arena, Showjumping arena, 3 smaller arenas, 2 round yards, cross country course, 800m training track as well as picturesque riding trails around the property.
All yards and paddocks have electric fencing and horses are checked at least once every day.
Yards, paddocks and stables are well maintained and thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis to ensure the very best care for your horse. We have regular visits by the farrier, dentist and vets and are happy to include your horse in these schedules.
The following horse agistment options are available at Zia Park:
Paddock Agistment
$20 per day (includes oaten hay)
Horse paddocks are large and are shared with other horses. Geldings and mares are separated and hay is fed daily.
This option does not include rugging or separating horses for individual feeding. Safe covered holding yards (pictured above) are available if owners wish to bring their horses in for hand feeding. We also provide a locked area for paddock agisters to store tack and feed.
Special Paddock Agistment
$36 per day (includes hay, rugging & 2 hard feeds daily)
This option is designed to cater for older horses who do not cope well in a paddock situation without extra care. Horse paddocks are shared with no more than six horses.
Horses receive hard feeds and hay daily. Zia Park staff rug and unrug horses as appropriate for the weather. Owners supply their own rugs.
Private Yard Agistment
$27 per day (part board)
Part Board Agistment includes a shelter with feed bin and hay rack and a lockable tack and feed room. All yards have automatic waterers and electric fencing. Owners provide all their own feed. Horses are fed twice daily and rugged as required. Yards are cleaned daily and are large, with shade trees and no common fences.
For those owners who do not wish to source their own hay, we can supply Oaten or Meadow hay by the bale at a price which reflects the current market value for these products.
$45 per day (full board)
Full board agistment includes everything listed above for part board but we also supply your horse’s feed. The ration includes lucerne chaff, steam cut chaff, full feed horse cubes and oaten or meadow hay. If your horse or pony requires a different diet, we are happy to discuss this and make changes, within reason, to accomodate this.
