Horse Leasing
Zia Park offers clients the opportunity to lease one of our horses or ponies for a fraction of the price you would pay to purchase and maintain a horse and have weekly lessons. All of your lease horse’s expenses such saddlery, feed, vet and farrier are covered. These are partial leases, which means that we still use the horse or pony for lessons, trail rides etc. at our discretion.
Zia Park has a variety of well trained and experienced school horses and ponies. Many are former and continue to be competition horses and/or pony club mounts, as pictured above. They are chosen for their talent, temperaments and suitability for the work they perform. We have mounts suitable for any level of rider, whether they wish to compete, go to training days or simply ride at home. All lease clients are supervised and supported by our highly experienced coaches. Zia Park will match the horse and rider combination. All lease clients receive generous discounts on school holiday programs, clinics, training shows and additional lessons.
Our typical lease clients ride Zia Park horses for several years. Many of our young clients move from ponies to larger mounts as they grow and become more experienced riders. Leasing often leads to horse ownership, which is a fantastic result for everyone. Leasing is great option particularly for riders who come from non-horsey backgrounds because of the support they will receive both on and off the horse.
We offer 2 types of horse lease:
“Standard” includes use of the horse/pony on property only, up to 3 times per week, including one group lesson at no extra charge. Up to two riders may lease the same horse or pony concurrently in a Standard Lease. Price: $161 per week
“Premium” includes the use of the horse/pony on property, up to 4 times per week, including one group lesson at no extra charge. In addition, clients may take the horse off property up to twice a month to venues deemed suitable by Zia Park. These may include pony club, riding clubs, competitions and training days. Price: $203 per week
Zia Park matches clients with suitable horses and the most appropriate lease type. A written contract will form the basis of all leases. The minimum term is 2 months.
