Adult Dressage Clinic

Session times are 0800 to 1 PM daily.

The program is suitable for Intermediate (confident cantering on a variety of horses in an arena) and Experienced riders ( competing or attending adult riders or pony club).   Riders are welcome to bring their own horse or ride one of ours. Participants will ride at least twice daily. Unmounted sessions will cover dressage rules for competition, explanation of test levels and requirements, how to learn a dressage test, and types of tests.

Learn how to present yourself and your horse for dressage events so you look the part and make a good first impression on the judge. You will practice washing your horse, pulling and plaiting manes and tails, applying horse make up, cleaning and polishing your saddlery.

Learn what the judge is looking for in a dressage test, learn how to ride corners and accurate figures and how to develop your horse's paces and education so you know what's expected as you move up the levels. Riders will practice judging along with a qualified dressage judge, take turns pencilling for a judge and calling tests.
